The parent of a former student at Side by Side’s Irene M. Hunt School, Deanna, joined the Side by Side Board to support the agency that provided her son with the resources and tools he needed to succeed in school and life. In addition to co-chairing Side by Side’s Reach for the Stars Gala from 2019 to 2023 and serving as the former Development & Communication Committee Chair, Deanna has volunteered with the Ross Valley Mothers' Club and four schools over the past 16 years. She serves as Senior Corporate Counsel for Autodesk and is a California-licensed attorney, holding an LL.M. in Tax. Deanna resides with her husband in San Anselmo and has two sons attending college. TIM MYERS

Tim joined the Side by Side Board of Directors in 2021 because he wanted to help address the mental health needs of vulnerable youth and their families. He brings professional experience in finance and management, and previously served as Chairman of the Board for Edgewood Center for Children and Families. Ryan has advised several nonprofits on legal matters over the past fifteen years, including Mind Matters SF, the Earth Institute, and Sanctuary for Families. He has a passion for volunteering with education-related organizations. A United States Marine Corps veteran, former attorney, and pilot, Ryan currently works in M&A, strategy, and venture investments for Cadence Design Systems, Inc. JENNIFER FINGER

Jennifer has served on Side by Side’s Audit Committee since 2005 and strongly supports its mission and goals. A recognized financial services professional, she has held executive positions at Bank of America, Westamerica Bank, and Beneficial State Bank. Her experience spans 30 years in strategic, financial, and operational leadership. Jennifer serves on the Advisory Board of the University of Arizona’s Parent and Family Association and previously on the Board of the Marin Symphony. She resides in Corte Madera.

MELISSA BLACH

Melissa is a Director in the San Francisco office of KPMG’s U.S. Risk and Compliance Forensic practice, where she serves in the firm’s Investigations, Disputes, and Compliance group. Melissa is an experienced, solution-oriented, and strategic-thinking professional who focuses on helping clients navigate complex and high-stakes issues, including compliance and regulatory matters, litigation and arbitration, and allegations of fraud and misconduct. She has more than 17 years of experience working with clients across various industries, including over 13 years in management roles with direct oversight of team members and responsibility for overall project success. JENNIFER L. GOTTI

Jennifer joined Side by Side’s Board in 2008 following the agency’s merger with Children’s Garden and served until terming off in 2018. She remained actively involved with SBS’s Gala Committee and rejoined the Board of Directors in 2022. An HR professional, Jennifer is currently the Senior Human Resources Manager at Ropers Majeski PC in Menlo Park and was previously employed at Brayton Purcell LLP. She has been involved with the Marin County Personnel Commission since 2016 and has served on the Marin Workforce Development Board and the Schools of the Sacred Heart Alumni Board. BERNADETTE MILLER

A long-time resident of San Rafael, Bernadette is passionate about helping youth achieve educational, social, and psychosocial success. She raised two boys with her husband into young men in San Rafael, working closely with public schools to ensure their unique needs were met. Bernadette served on the Glenwood Elementary School PTA Board and currently volunteers at San Quentin State Prison. Her career includes influential roles at Nissan, Levi's, Gap, Autodesk, and Clorox. As a consumer insights leader, she helped organizations better understand their consumers' needs. Bernadette is an empowering and empathetic leader who has developed and mentored many individuals and functional and cross-functional teams. She later transitioned into senior operating roles with technology companies, including serving as the founding COO/CFO of Pixion, an early provider of web-conferencing solutions. Ina’s unique background allows her to integrate deep financial markets knowledge and networks with an emerging markets discipline.
