Sonoma County Human Race
The 2024 Sonoma County Human Race in Santa Rosa was a wonderful day of community spirit and impact, bringing together participants from across the region for a morning of movement and generosity. Led by our Director of Development, Sheila Aceves, the Side by Side team showed up with enthusiasm—lacing up, rolling out, and joining hundreds of others for this long‑standing community fundraiser organized by the Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL). The timed 5K course, starting and finishing at Old Courthouse Square, welcomed participants of all ages and abilities, including those with strollers, wheelchair users, and registered dogs. Thanks to CVNL’s leadership, the event once again strengthened nonprofit collaboration across Sonoma County while providing agencies like ours with a fun, energizing platform to raise support.
