Community Counseling clinical services are individualized and include school, home, and community-based support for youth ages 5-26. Our program includes a spectrum of community-based services to respond to the specific needs of the individual young person and their family, We welcome interns to join our dedicated team of clinicians in providing culturally response, strengths-based, trauma-informed services to our youth. Our internship program provides 1 hour of clinical supervision per week, 2 hours of group supervision per week, training opportunities within the agency and most importantly, experience that only working directly with youth can provide. Schools can present many challenges for our youth: social, emotional, and educational. These challenges can take the form of truancy, failing grades, disruptive behavior, gang activity, and drug and alcohol use. YouThrive addresses these challenges by offering early intervention strategies to Sonoma and Marin Counties students in grades K through 12. This early intervention school-based program consists of weekly sessions (fall and spring) for students referred by school counselors and staff, youth-serving organizations, or parents. These sessions could be group coping skill development, group and/or individual therapy, or even family therapy if indicated.
